welded steel i beams

Welded Steel I Beam sections are the base; Cast-Iron inserts, Dalle de verre slab glass or heads/tails irregular glass are added. I work only with scrap steel and truly unique pieces of glass. The roughness produced by torch welding (oxy-acetylene) adds character and individuality to each piece. No two finished sculptures will ever be the same.

What I create is not finely polished fine-gallery art – rather, it is most beautiful when curated in a garden setting and, especially when lit at night, these sculptures can come alive!

Steel Garden Art

Steel Garden Art pieces always start with strips of steel, which are bent into various shapes and welded. I seek to create one of a kind sculptures and orbs, which contain unique spirals of energy mounted within them. Curated in the right garden setting, these simple pieces make a huge impact.

Stained glass & mosaics

Most stained glass in America is either “Tchotchke” and tiny, or very high priced. What I make falls between these extremes: smaller and cheaper than the typical window, but much nicer than a tiny or chintzy one. When tackling larger windows, I can drastically cut costs by welding a steel frame.

In the right window, the beautiful colors come alive, adding a vibrant and exciting touch to your home!

Custom Art

I have done custom work for individuals in all categories of my art: Welded I Beams and Glass Sculptures, Steel Garden Art, Stained Glass, and Mosaics. Craft and create your vision from the very start!

Working closely together throughout, your final piece will be filled with character and unique touches.

What we do

My core mission in art making is to make amazing art in a wide variety of forms, and find a way of getting that art out into the universe.

I specialize in garden art and ‘rougher cut’ forms, and love to combine materials rarely used by others such as welded I-beam sections from the bone yard of a fabricator, cast iron art deco inserts, or ‘chinked’ dalle de verre slab glass.

I seek to regularly work with customers and friends in studio workshops, through which I help them learn how to weld or make stained glass; in particular, I am proud that I have helped a dozen children learn to weld, and to make their own stained glass pieces.
